How to Find Greatest Common Factors
Step by step instructions to Find Greatest Common Factors Elements are numbers that partition uniformly in a number. The best basic factor of at least two numbers is the biggest number that can partition uniformly into every one of the numbers. Here, you will figure out how to discover factors and most noteworthy regular components. You will need to realize how to factor numbers when you are attempting to streamline portions. What You Need Manipulatives: Coins, catches, hard beansPencils and paperCalculator Steps Variables of the number 12: You can uniformly separate 12 by 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12.Therefore, we can say that 1,2,3,4,6 and 12 are elements of 12.We can likewise say that the best or biggest factor of 12 is 12.Factors of 12 and 6: You can equitably isolate 12 by 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12. You can equally separate 6 by 1, 2, 3 and 6. Presently, take a gander at the two arrangements of numbers. What is the biggest factor of the two numbers? 6 is the biggest or most noteworthy factor for 12 and 6.Factors of 8 and 32: You can equally partition 8 by 1, 2, 4 and 8. You can equitably partition 32 by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32. Subsequently the biggest normal factor of the two numbers is 8.Multiplying Common Prime Factors: This is another technique to locate the best basic factor. Lets take 8 and 32. The prime components of 8 are 1 x 2 x 2 x 2. Notice that the prime elements of 32 are 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2. In the event that we increase the regular prime elements of 8 and 32, we get 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 8, wh ich turns into the best basic factor. Both strategies will assist you with deciding the best basic components (GFCs), yet you should choose which strategy you like to work with. Manipulatives: Use coins or fastens for this idea. Lets state youre attempting to discover variables of 24. Request that the kid partition the 24 catches/coins into 2 heaps. The youngster will find that 12 is a factor. Ask the youngster what number of ways they can equally partition the coins. Before long they will find that they can stack the coins into gatherings of 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12. Continuously use manipulatives to demonstrate the idea. Tips Make certain to utilize coins, catches, 3D squares, and so forth to demonstrate how discovering factors functions. Its a lot simpler to adapt solidly than conceptually. When the idea is gotten a handle on in a solid organization, it will be considerably more effectively comprehended abstractly. This idea requires some progressing practice. Give a couple of meetings it.

Literature Review Multiple Intelligence Theory - 2723 Words
Literature Review: Multiple Intelligence Theory Leigh Anne Brackett Liberty University Abstract This paper is a literature review relating to the Multiple Intelligence Theory by Howard Gardner. In general, the literature seems to indicate that the Multiple Intelligence Theory is very effective in teaching students. The purpose of this research is to define multiple intelligences, what the strengths are of each intelligence category, and why it is important to use this approach in the classroom. The themes that arose during research were the effectiveness the Multiple Intelligence Theory had with the following students: students with disabilities, minority students, and ESL/EFL students. Keywords: multiple intelligences, multiple intelligences in the classrooms, Howard Gardner, Howard Gardnerââ¬â¢s multiple intelligences, student centered learning, multiple intelligences and students with disabilities, multiple intelligences and esl student Literature Review Introduction The Multiple Intelligence Theory (MIT) was developed by Howard Gardner in 1983. Dr. Gardner suggests that there are at least eight ways that people have of perceiving and understanding the world as opposed to labeling them with only one specific intelligence. Gardner labels each of these ways a distinct ââ¬Å"intelligence.â⬠In other words, it is a set of skills allowing individuals to find and resolve genuine problems they face. Dell vs. Hp Performance Finanical Analysis free essay sample
Analysis Common-Size Analysis Common-Size Income Statement Analysis The common-size income statement for Dell shows a relatively flat history for cost of goods sold compared to sales from 82. 27% in 2006 to 82. 49% in 2010. Dellââ¬â¢s five year average for cost of goods sold to sales was 82. 23%, which is bit higher than HP cost of goods sold to sales five year average of 75. 96%. This in turn gives HP higher gross revenue than Dell most likely through means of obtaining raw materials and goods at lower costs, giving HP greater ability for an increased profit margin. This increased profit margin can allow for HP to offer more discounts then Dell may be able to afford, or increase spending in areas of investment for the company. Another area of interest within the common size income statement is related to selling, general and administrative to sales. Overall through the years 2006 to 2010, Dell saw an increase in this area growing from 9. 05% in 2006 to 12. 22% in 2010. Meanwhile, HP experienced the exact opposite effect, with this category declining from 12. 29% in 2006 to 9. 99% in 2010. According to Dellââ¬â¢s annual report, the major increase was due to the acquisition of Perot Systems. It also appears that over the last five years, Dellââ¬â¢s strategy of products directly to customers has been adopted by many competitors, allowing the competitors to decrease some of their overhead and commissions paid to retailers, all the while increasing sales. In the same time span as competitors partially adopted the strategy that made Dell prominent, Dell began to place more products in retail stores to compete directly on the front lines with its competition, as mentioned in their Managementââ¬â¢s Discussion and Financial Analysis meetings. This approach FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP has caused a good percentage of the sales revenue to go to retailers and distributors, thus straining the ability to maximize net income for the present. Research, development and engineering for Dell as a percentage to sales were 0. 82% in 2006 and slightly grew to 1. 18% in 2010. HP research, development and engineering to sales is roughly 3 times the amount that Dell dedicated; however, HP has drawdown their research, development and engineering to sales from 3. 92% in 2006 to 2. 35% in 2010. The five year average in this category for Dell was 0. 99% and HP was 3. 04%. Even with HPââ¬â¢s much higher research, development and engineering to sales percentage than Dell, HP has a higher operating expense, but since their cost of goods sold to sales is lower, it gives HP the edge in producing a higher operating income than Dell. Overall net income to sales decreased for Dell throughout 2006 to 2010, with a major decrease happening in 2010 and overall having a five year average of 4. 51%. In 2006 the net income to sales was 6. 46%, then in 2009 it dropped to 4. 6%, but in 2010 was when the major drop happened, resulting in net income being just 2. 71%. The main contributor to the drop in net income to sales was from operating expenses, with one component being the increase in research, development and engineering, but the primary increase coming from the selling, general and administrative category. Increased operating expenses are reflective of Dellââ¬â¢s push of broadly branching out into the retail market. HPââ¬â¢s net income to sales remained flat during the same time span, with a five year average of 6. 88%. The basically net zero increase in net income can be attributed to the economic downturn, and its rippling effect on customers. Common-Size Balance Sheet Analysis The common-size balance sheet of Dell reflects a current assets to total assets five year average of 74. 91% and shows a short term liabilities to total liabilities and shareholdersââ¬â¢ equity five year average of 63. 72% covering years 2006 to 2010. Dellââ¬â¢s current assets and current liabilities both decreased from 2006 to 2010, but their current liabilities decreased at a faster rate than their current assets did. The gap between the two in 2006 was roughly 7% and had increased to 16% by 2010, providing plenty of opportunity to grow and develop the company further in their plans. HP common size balance sheet represents a different story. Their a current assets to total assets five year average was 49. 45% and short term liabilities to total liabilities and shareholdersââ¬â¢ equity five year average was 42. 37% across years 2006 to 2010. Both accounts FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 7 decreased slightly over the years, and by 2010, HP had a gap of current assets to current liabilities of only 4%. Potential investors will focus on this close margin because HP may start to become too heavily leveraged, which could hinder their ability to expand. It could also pose the problem of decreasing the percentage amount that HP reinvests back into the company, due to using assets to pay off short term liabilities. Within Dellââ¬â¢s current assets, short term investments to total assets decreased from 8. 67% in 2006 to 1. 11% in 2010. Many of these short term investments had matured and were sold. The additional cash on hand helped decrease accounts payable, which decreased from 42. 4% in 2006 to 33. 80% in 2010. Reducing its liabilities strengthens Dell financial health, yet further liquidity and asset utilization ratio test should be conducted to determine if their more solid financial standing is long term or simple a one year over year change. Dellââ¬â¢s inventory to total assets remained mainly the same over the five year span with 2. 53% in 2006 and 3. 12% in 2010. This is a reflection Dellââ¬â¢s strategy of keeping on hand inventory levels low and only producing the amount able to quickly sell. HP inventory to total assets changed substantially from 9. 5% in 2006 to 5. 19% in 2010. The drop in inventory percentage to total assets is a representation of HP improved strategy to minimize holding periods by taking delivery of inventory and manufacturing immediately prior to sale or distribution of product to customers. It is also reflective of the aggressive discounting that HP conducted as a result of the economic downturn. Dellââ¬â¢s long term debt to total liabilities and shareholdersââ¬â¢ equity increased substantially from 2. 69% in 2006 to 10. 15% in 2010 with average long term debt of 4. 71%. The major increased indicates that the company was dependant on long term debt to finance its acquisition of Perot Systems in 2010. HP long term debt to total liabilities and shareholdersââ¬â¢ equity followed the same path by increasing from 3. 04% in 2006 to 12. 26% in 2010. This increased in total debt is explained in their annual report as being spending on acquisitions and share repurchases. Debt to equity ratios are needed to be further evaluated to determine the risk factor for this increased level of liabilities. Comparative Analysis Comparative Income Statement Analysis Dellââ¬â¢s net revenue sharply declined from 2008 to 2010, going from 6. 47% to (13. 42%), as a result of the economic downturn, as individual customers put off luxury purchases such as computers and commercial customers put off bulk computer orders for a later to be determined FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 8 date. On average, the net revenue growth was 1. 86% while cost of goods sold was 2. 05%. Cost of goods sold increased faster than sales, lowering its potential gross profit. Even though selling, general, and administrative was reduced substantially from 2008 level of 26. 3% down to (8. 97%) in 2010, its growth rate averaged 9. 45%, which outpaced net revenue on average. The drop in selling general and administrative was due to decreases in compensation, advertising expenses and improved controls during the downturn. The growth rate of cost of goods coupled with the economic downturn, found Dell with a (31. 91%) operating income for year 2010. A large decrease in the marke t yield of over 200 basis points from 2009 was the cause for the (210. 45%) for investments and other income n 2010. Net income average was (10. 8%) over years 2006 to 2010, with major causes for this being lower sales due to economic downturn, decreases in investments, increases in tax liabilities and higher cost of a hedging program. Much like with Dell, the economic fallout had its effects on HP. Their net revenue severely decreased from 13. 50% in 2008 to (3. 22%) in 2009. The dollar depreciation to the euro played a large part in this drop for its European sales. However, unlike Dell, HP rebounded in 2010, increasing sales up to 10. 02%, which can be attributed mostly in part to HPââ¬â¢s acquisition of EDS. HPââ¬â¢s annual cost of goods averaged 7. 4%, which was lower than their net revenue average of 7. 96%. This led to a more favorable net income on average, indicating HPââ¬â¢s ability to better control its operating income through successful marketing or more effect ive investment approaches over the years. Comparative Balance Sheet Analysis Dellââ¬â¢s five year average total current assets growth rate was 7. 75%, which was higher by a slim margin over average total current liabilities of 7. 27%. The relationship was consistent with the common size analysis giving support to Dellââ¬â¢s capability to cover short term liabilities with current assets. However, caution should be raised and solvency ratios further investigated as Dellââ¬â¢s current assets dipped below its current liabilities in 2010 by a comparison of 20. 32% to 27. 60%. Its competitor HP current liabilities growth rate average is out pacing its current assets growth by almost double with rates of 10. 88% to 4. 68%, respectively. This should bring caution to HP to get control of its short term liabilities growth rate, but not be too alarming, considering that by its common-size comparison, the company presently has enough current assets to pay for its short term liabilities. FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 9 Dellââ¬â¢s accounts receivable rate of growth was 11. 90% on average, growing faster than the companyââ¬â¢s average sales rate, 1. 86%. This relates to the increase in the collection period in days also increasing over this five year span. The category of property, plant and equipment grew for Dell at an annual rate of 6. 12%, with the majority of this growth happening in years 2006-2008. Plant, property and equipment declined in years 2009-2010, (14. 66%) and (4. 2%) respectively, which coincides with the companyââ¬â¢s declining sales growth over these same years. On average, Dellââ¬â¢s total liabilities grew 11. 36% annually, compared to its total liabilities and shareholdersââ¬â¢ equity growth rate average of 8. 21%. This highlights the companyââ¬â¢s candidacy for potentially becoming a long-term solvency risk. Financial Ratio Analysis Liquidity Current Ratio and Acid Test Ratio Average current ratio for Dell was 1. 19 and the acid test ratio was 1. 14. These averages are better in comparison to HPââ¬â¢s current ratio of 1. 17 and acid test ratio of 1. 0, which tells that Dell has more current assets to cover its short term liabilities and makes Dell a safer and more financially strong company. HP had a risky year in 2008 when its current ratio fell below 1. 00, ending at 0. 98, but shouldnââ¬â¢t be focused on too much considering that their net revenue in sales averages 7. 96% growth rate and is averaging a 39. 33% net income growth rate. Collection Period Dellââ¬â¢s ability to collect customers payments on accounts receivable is stronger than HPââ¬â¢s, with Dell taking 32. 04 days on average compared to HPââ¬â¢s 49. 74 days. While both companies collection period was longer than the normal business benchmark of 30 days, Dell was much more successful in collection from its customers and thus reduced the liability for risky accounts receivable. The shorter period for collection also enables Dell to pay for its inventory and not have to expose them to greater amounts of short term debt through increased working capital financing. Days to Sell Inventory Dell inventory holding period was much shorter than HP, with Dell having days to sell inventory ratio of 6. 70 on average and HP having an average ratio of 32. 2. Dell operates in a FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 10 slightly leaner production manner than HP and is able to quickly move inventory through its distribution networks. The quicker a company is able to sell its inventories, the quicker the clock begins to receive payment to be able to pay back money owed on inventories acquired and sold, and not have to increase your working capital financing. Cap ital Structure and Solvency Debts to Equity Ratios Dellââ¬â¢s five year average of total debt to equity was 5. 23, compared to HP lower average ratio of 1. 5. This shows that Dell had more debt (creditors) financing than equity (shareholders) financing. Long term debt for to equity on average for Dell was 0. 29 and HP was 0. 22. While many feel that debt from creditors is more harmful because of the interest paid on the principle borrowed, the advantage here is that once the creditor is paid back, they are gone and off the payroll. Whereas equity financing involves more shareholders owning parts of the company, which reduces the dividend payout per shareholder as well as waters down earnings per share. Dells approach to being more heavily financed through debt than equity may be in an attempt to keep earnings per share at an increased level. Return on Investment Return on Assets and Return on Common Equity An important ratio is the return on assets ratio for its ability to measure earnings per dollar from its assets. The five year average for return on assets of Dell was 13. 06% while HPââ¬â¢s was 9. 07%. This higher percentage for Dell reflects a more efficient use of its assets and higher earnings from products sold per company asset. Both companies have strong return on assets that goes to show the loyal base of customers each brand name of the two companies has. Return on common equity is another important profitability ratio. This ratio measures the earnings success of its capital investments through common shareholders. The return on equity for Dell averaged 81. 46% while HP averaged 23. 91. An observation of this profitability measure shows that Dell is possibly much more attractive for potential investors for its ability to effectively manage and use funds generated through shareholders equity. Operating Performance Profit Margin Ratios Dellââ¬â¢s gross profit margin average of 17. 77% was lower than HPââ¬â¢s average of 24. 04% HP controls a larger portion of the computer market as represented through this ratio. Dell also FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 11 posted lower operating profit margins and pretax profit margin compared to HP. Dellââ¬â¢s higher selling, general and administrative expenses are cause for lower operating and pretax profit margins, partly due to new retail and certain global distribution relationships. As expected from the precursors above, net income was also lower for Dell when compared to HP. Dell needs to encroach more forcefully into HPââ¬â¢s large market share to positively influence its sales. Operating expense components should be addressed as well to find cost savings measures to increase operation income in order to ultimately increase its net income. Asset Utilization Cash Turnover The measure of how efficient a company utilizes its cash and cash equivalents to create sales revenue is depicted with the cash turnover ratio. In respect to this ratio, Dell averaged 5. 0, while HP averaged 7. 09. This showed that HP used its cash and cash equivalents more efficiently to build revenue. On the other hand, it shows that HP used its cash and cash equivalents while Dell refrained from using its cash and cash equivalents, as evident in the common size analysis, showing that Dell retained on average 31. 77% of cash and cash equivalents to assets while HP averaged 12. 41%. Invent ory Turnover Inventory turnover represents how fast companies turn their inventories into sales revenue. Dell had a much slower inventory turnover on average, 58. 8, than HPââ¬â¢s 11. 86. Over the past five years more companies have became better at the Dell model of sales direct to customers which has overall effected Dellââ¬â¢s sales as evident in the comparative analysis showing on average Dell grew sales by 1. 86% while HP grew at 7. 96%. Also, HP has become more efficient in their inventory distribution cycle and the amount of inventories held in relation to total assets, dropping from 9. 45% in 2006 to 5. 19 by 2010. Dellââ¬â¢s turnover ratio was directly affected by its increase in inventory to total assets growing from 2. 53% in 2006 to 3. 2 % by 2010. The increase in Dellââ¬â¢s inventories to total assets percentage coupled with declining sales growth over the past five years was a cause for their much higher inventory turnover rate. Total Assets Turnover Total assets turnover measures how efficiently a company utilizes total assets to create sales revenue. On average, Dellââ¬â¢s ability to generate more profit from its assets was roughly FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF DELL AND HP 12 double that of HP, being 2. 15 to 1. 07 respectively. This shows that for overall assets held, Dell had a better record of generating sales. Market Measures Price to Earnings Ratio and Earnings Yield The price to earnings for Dell on average was 16. 35, lower than HPââ¬â¢s 18. 52. From this statistical ratio, HP is able to show that its investors have higher expectations of their company performance by being committed to paying a higher price per share to own HP stock over the past five year time span. However, with Dell showing better results when it came to liquidation and return on investment, they are able to portray to potential investors that they are the better buy at a lower price per share when compared to HP. Earnings yield represents the amount of earnings generated for every dollar invested. Here, Dell has a better showing on average with 7. 02% compared to HPââ¬â¢s 6. 25%. This ratio can be another point of persuasion that Dell is the better buy for it being properly priced when talking of earnings yield over the years 2006 to 2010. Summary of Financial Performance and Suggestions for Improvement Both Dell and HP have the financial statistics showing why they are strong competitors in an ever evolving industry. In an industry that attracts potential customers by offering the latest, fastest and greatest products, Dell needs an increase their amount of research, development, and engineering to sales percentage. Dell can no longer rely on just offering cheaper products because offering the newest technology and quality of product has moved to the forefront of consumersââ¬â¢ minds. It would be wise for Dell to focus on precise areas where they have a strong competency and not try to be all things to everyone. One area they may rethink of pushing into is their expanded exposure into retail stores. Considering that Dell is fairly new to the retailing segment, their ties to the retailing market are not as strong as many of its competitors who have long withstanding relationships with retailers. These long withstanding relationships with retailers give companies like HP an advantage over new comers to retail stores, such as Dell, and possible over the next year or so, Dell should rethink this new part of their strategy. At the moment, the amount of increased funds used on selling, general and administrative has not equally translated into higher sales revenue.

Molly And Me free essay sample
C.S. Lewis once said, ââ¬Å"No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equallyââ¬âand often far moreââ¬âworth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.â⬠Harry Potter books have been collecting on my shelf for ten years. I first engulfed myself in their dark magic at the ripe age of seven; now, at seventeen, I still reach for these books to cure boredom or melancholy. Of all Rowlingââ¬â¢s rich characters, I like talking with Molly Weasley best. Her wit and talent frame her doting nature handsomely. She is hilarious and humble. She is all the things Iââ¬â¢d like to be when I grow up. She first taught me a simple lesson because I was young and fairly naive. She told me that everyone is talented. She told me to apply my talents usefully and humbly. Her actions reflected these words, and I have tried to follow her example. We will write a custom essay sample on Molly And Me or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I watched this innately magical woman utter potent incantations with gentle and purposeful finesse. I watched her dishes scrub themselves and her weeds pick themselves up out of the garden. I especially liked watching the soft tick of her selfââ¬âfashioned clock, depicting each Weasleyââ¬â¢s location at any given time. Once, I watched her cleanly finish off a dark witch who threatened her daughter. However underestimated, Mrs. Weasley is an extremely skilled and powerful witch, and I endeavor to follow her example. I am obliged to pursue my talents, to hone them into useful skills, and to respect the gifts of others. Her second lesson was a bit more intricate, and a bit more personal. She told me that having people in my life would be important, and to love these people fiercely. Again, she embodied her own creed, which I strove to echo. I watched her stretch love seven ways for seven children; I watched her knit them sweaters each year, and house their orphan friends on holidays. I asked her why she did this. She told me that fierce love is a time commitment that must be upheld graciously, and explained that all this time should not be merely wasted on favors. ââ¬Å"Fierce love,â⬠she told me, ââ¬Å"requires open conversation, however occasionally uncomfortable.â⬠Still, her example shined. I watched her protect her children in battle before reprimanding their reckless behavior, and express earnest pride in her husbandââ¬â¢s professional success, while explaining to him earnestly the stress of keeping house by herself. She has compelled me to prioritize healthy relationships with the people in my life by devoting time for both compassion and honest dialogue. By these principles, I have learned how to love fiercely. I have learned how to navigate the obstacles and joys of my relationships with confidence. Mrs. Weasley has been a teacher of mine for ten years now. Her lessons have grown and changed, as have I. Yet while each reading of Harry Potter strikes a distinct tone, these notes are not lonely; they manifest as one beautiful chord, which begs: be a kind and useful person.

buy custom Causes of Domestic Violence essay
buy custom Causes of Domestic Violence essay Domestic violence is a conflict that takes place at home. It is a conflict that is perpetuated by one member of the family against the other. It may be perpetuated by the father towards the mother and children. Alternatively, it may be perpetuated by the mother against the father and children. Sometimes, even children become sources of violence, which they direct towards their parents. Domestic violence may arise as a result of social causes and emotional causes (Anderson, 1997). There are many social causes that result in domestic violence. These social causes include: In most cases, problems in relationships bring about conflicts within a family. These problems may arise out of lack of communication. When family members do not communicate that aspirations, wishes, ambitions, hopes and fears, other family members fail to understand what motivates them to behave in the manner that they do. In some families, the spouses are too busy in the workplace to make time for their family members. For this reason, problems arise as far as the task of creating social bonds is concerned. In most cases, it is parents who fail to give their children the attention the need in order to provide them with guidance. At other times, it is one of te spouses who fail to nurture a serious love relationship with her wife in order for their relationship to be strengthened. In this situation, one of the spouses can easily feel out of touch with the family, causing dissent, conflict and violence. Lack of trust can also lead to domestic violence. A family is the most basic organizational unit. For it to function, the husband and wife have to live in harmony. These two people cannot live in harmony without a build-up of a bond of trust between them. Each partner should always be sure of the other persons trust and loyalty. Decisions should involve all parties. Unfortunately, this sometimes does not happen, leading to conflicts. Sometimes, children also cause conflicts when they feel that their parents no longer trust their abilities and aspirations. If their needs are not being taken care of, they may think that the parents do not trust these childrens abilities although this may not be the case. Some parents direct their trust to some children and they deny it to others mainly because of perceived weaknesses and strengths. In this way, they pity these children against each other, a situation that leads to a bitter conflict that lasts for a very long times. Misunderstanding is another social probleem that manifests itself through problems in a relationship. Sometimes, the actions of one family member are misunderstood by the other family members. For instance, all family members may fail to understand why the father has decided to spend all the previous years savings to pay for his advanced education while the children have been sent home from school for lack of school fees. Although the father may mean well for the family by taking this action, no one may realize this since there is a misunderstanding of his actions. When misunderstandings occur, it is easy for every person in the family to blame the person next to him, especially if this misunderstanding has caused a major blunder, an accident or damage to the reputation of the family in the eyes of the public. Misunderstanding may lead to lack of trust, something that leads to serious problems in relationships. Clarification is needed all the time in order to avoid misunderstandings from taking place. Infidelity is another major cause of domestic violence. Infidelity means lack of faithfulness by one spouse. A spouse may decide to commit adultery when the other not around or is looking the other side. When this spouse comes around or turns towards that other side and finds the spouse committing adultery, domestic violence arises. Buy custom Causes of Domestic Violence essay

A Comparison of Michelangelos and Donatellos Sculptures of David
The comparison of sculptures between Michelangelo and Donatello David Michelangelo and Donatello was the most respected and exciting artist of the time. Michelangelo of the High Renaissance and Donatello of the early Renaissance came from Italy. Both of them tell the story of David and Goliath, as described in Sam 2: 17: 28-51 in their sculpture 'David'. David is a shepherd boy, killing a giant Goliath with only one pachinko in his hand. Michelangelo showed David before the fight and Donatello showed David to David in the fight against Goliath. In the Renaissance period, artists such as Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti and Michelangelo produced famous works such as Donatello's bronze David, Door to the baptistery of Florence, Michelangelo, sculptures reached the climax. The marble of David and Pieta the Virgin Mary gently hugging the deceased Jesus. Most Renaissance sculptures are still religious about that subject. The church is full of carefully carved tents, pulpit towers, tombs, altar s, bowl pots and statues. However, as they learn more about classical art, sculptors also work in the form of heathens, including horse riding (horse and rider) statues, portrait busts and male nude drawings. In addition, art is not just for the church The city of Florence paid for his sculpture of David. The customer felt that he was difficult to handle and cooperate. He is not a cultural intellectual like Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo. Donatello is essentially a realist. Many of the masterpieces of Donatello are in Florence. Some of the masterpieces include: St. Peter, St Mark, Sukune, St George and Dragon, St. John Evangelist, Magdalen and Angel and Tambourine. Many of his sculptures were a breakthrough in the Renaissance. One of them, David was the first naked statue of the Renaissance, and the goddess of the equestrian gutta Merita was considered one of the best sculptures ever. (Rainbow Book of Art p.68, May 16, 2003) David was destined to become the second king of Israel, destroying the Philistines' giant Goliath with stones and hanging chains. Both Donatello, Verrocchio, Michelangelo, Benigni designed the David sculpture. However, sculptures are very different from each other. Each is unique in its own way. Donatello, the first life-sized naked statue since the classical era, balances between classicalism and realism through the real image of an Italian farmer's boy presenting a classic nude statue. Donatello was inspired by classical figures, but he did not choose Greek youth as a model of David. Instead, he chose a young boy whose arm was weakly bare because of a lack of muscles. After defeating Goliath at the foot of David, he placed a sword next to him and dealt with most of it. It is almost impossible for boys like David to accomplish such work. essay.com/DAVID MICHELANGO, DONATELLO, This is four different buildings about David sculpture.

A critical response paper Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
A critical response paper - Essay Example Mr. Swift felt deeply for the poor people of Ireland and did not like to see them in the professionally poor conditions that they had come to be in. He wished they would learn better ways to live their lives and this was the main focus of this proposal. Mr. Swift chose a satire to get his point across which according to the age must have been quite a shock to the people. The writer gave a proposal and then supported it by giving a long list of arguments. As we read through the first impression is of disgust, but on and on we realize a write up which hits on the kingdom which is very irresponsible of its poor populationsââ¬â¢ fate. A look into Mr. Swiftââ¬â¢s life and we see a shining light. Mr. Swift lived in Ireland, which ââ¬Å"was a poor country and was deliberately kept poor by England. It was overpopulated and desperately poor, heavily taxed, with no say in its own affairs. English absentee landlords owned most of the Irish land and crippled its infrastructure deliberately so that there would be no threat from the countryâ⬠(Cody). Seeing the predicament Mr. Swift was angry and frustrated. His anger at the ââ¬Ëownersââ¬â¢ of Ireland is evident when he says, ââ¬Å"the remaining hundred thousand may at a year old be offered in sale to the persons of quality and fortune through the kingdom, always advising the mother to let them suck plentifully in the last month, so as to render them plump and fat for a good table. A child will make two dishes at an entertainment for friends; and when the family dines alone, the fore or hind quarter will make a reasonable dish, and seasoned with a little pepper or salt will be very good boiled on the fourth day, especially in winterâ⬠(Swift). The writer seemed to make very irrational statements. The very essence of the ââ¬Ëmodestyââ¬â¢ of the article is the irrationality of the prolific use of the positive outcomes of a single event that will cause the poor to prosper. Mr. Swift succeeded

Middle Range Nursing Theory Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Middle Range Nursing Theory - Essay Example Patients that have terminal illness may feel distress or pain in any or all of these domains and that the desire for comfort should be evaluated and attended to on all areas, instead of simply focusing on the long-standing practice of managing physical pain. The purpose of this paper is to discuss Kolcabaââ¬â¢s comfort theory, particularly its history, principles, and concepts, and application to specific nursing practice. A Brief Description of Kolcabaââ¬â¢s Comfort Theory At the advent of the twentieth century, the concept of ââ¬Ëcomfortââ¬â¢ was applied in a broad way, and it was greatly appreciated in nursing. Furthermore, the capability to give comfort demonstrated the personality and skill of nurses. During this period, nurses thought that giving comfort was their sole responsibility. Comfort was mainly essential because therapeutic medical procedures were still absent (Kolcaba, 2003). Improving the comfort of patients was viewed as a proactive nursing objective tha t also was encouraging, and, in almost all instances, should involve progress from an earlier condition. Comfort arose from environmental, emotional, physical, and psychological interventions, but directives for special comfort procedures were under the doctorââ¬â¢s discretion. ... The value of family comfort started to surface during this period and families were regarded valid beneficiaries of comfort therapies. Nurses encouraged self-care in patients if at all possible. Comfort became the top priority of nurses only when their patients have terminal illness. Moreover, where nursing contexts were less affected by technology, like long-term care and nursing homes, comfort was more essential as a purpose of nursing (Fawcett & DeSanto-Madeya, 2012). Smith and Liehr (2008) argued that such pattern had wide-ranging repercussions for nursing in the twenty-first century, because of an increasingly aging population. More and more elders desire comfort in the remaining days of their lives. Frances Kolcaba describes comfort in nursing as ââ¬Å"the satisfaction (actively, passively, or co-operatively) of the basic human needs for ââ¬Ëreliefââ¬â¢-- a condition wherein a patientââ¬â¢s special needs were met--, ââ¬Ëeaseââ¬â¢-- a condition of total peace and serenity-- or ââ¬Ëtranscendenceââ¬â¢-- a condition wherein an individual overcomes pain and difficulties-- arising from health care situations that are stressfulâ⬠(McEwen & Wills, 2007, 256). Kolcabaââ¬â¢s comfort theory takes place within a context made up of ââ¬Ëthree states of beingââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëfour contextsââ¬â¢ wherein comfort for the ill can exist in (McEwen & Wills, 2007, 256). The three interconnected states of being wherein a patient is supported are relief, ease, and transcendence. The environmental, social, psychospiritual, and physical are the four contexts wherein comfort for patients takes place. The psychospiritual domain is where lifeââ¬â¢s purpose and meaning reside (McEwen & Wills, 2007, 256). Comfort theory is rooted in the idea that all human beings respond in a

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Essay -- Disease, Disorders
In this day and age, nearly everyone has heard the term ââ¬Å"Sleep Apneaâ⬠in one place or another, whether it was on the news, from a friend or relative, or perhaps from their very own physician. What is sleep apnea? Who is at risk for developing sleep apnea? Are there specific signs or symptoms to look for? How is sleep apnea diagnosed? Can it be treated? What additional health problems can be caused if the disorder is untreated? All of these are vital questions. Most people have encountered sleep apnea, but many do not know the answers to these important questions, and knowing these answers may help save their own life or the life of a loved one. Sleep apnea syndrome is a sleeping disorder marked by repetitive episodes of cessation of breathing, 10 seconds or longer, during sleep. During this time, the individual's oxygen level drops, resulting in hypoxemia and sleep disruption. (Bencosme, RDH, MA & Castellanos, RDH, MA, 2011) There is more than one type of sleep apnea, but the most common type is Obstructive Sleep Apnea, or O.S.A. This is a result of relaxation of the soft tissues around the airway in the rear portion of the throat, which block the passage of air, causing obstruction. The cessation of breathing throughout the night disrupts sleep and causes wakeful episodes, as many as hundreds per hour of sleep. These disruptions cause the sufferer to arise the next morning feeling as if he or she did not sleep at all, and they are typically unaware that they actually did not sleep. There are several risk factors for developing sleep apnea. Those who are overweight, especially if considered to be obese or morbidly obese, and those who smoke have a much higher risk for developing sleep apnea. Males have a higher te... ...n cause many other life-threatening illnesses. Evidence shows any case of OSA can become severe if not treated in a timely manner. Anyone with questions regarding this disorder should seek medical advice, because it could help save a life. Works Cited Bencosme, RDH, MA, J., & Castellanos, RDH, MA, S. (2011). Police deviance Essay
Introduction à à à à Policing has a great potential for abusive conduct where police officers become perpetrators of various crimes. Aside from the exposure to the world of crime there is the inherent police culture which is generally susceptible to corruption. Police misconduct ranges from ââ¬Å"the excessive use of deadly force, excessive use of physical force, discriminatory patterns of arrest patterns of harassment among the marginalized sectors of society which include the aggressive and discriminatory use of the ââ¬Ëstop and friskââ¬â¢ and overly harsh enforcement of petty offenses, overreaction to gang problems, lack of accountability including failure to discipline or prosecute abusive officers, or deter abuse by denying promotions and/or particular assignments of prior abusive behavior and a host of other potential abusesâ⬠(ACLU 1991). With this theme this paper succinctly captures and elaborates on specific police officer misconduct such as the occurrence of falsif ication of evidences by police officers for the use in trials. ~Nature of Police work à à à à Law enforcement is a highly visible kind of work and the benefits, challenges and potential problems are immense yet appear typically predictable. Films and television people make sure that stuffs like detective stories, sitcoms with punch lines that depict familiar police caricatures and the like keep law enforcement on the frontlines. Not that it needs to be advertised; police work hugs the headlines because their tasks are unavoidably sensational. à à à à Policing is said to be characterized as an occupation with ââ¬Å"hours of boredom followed by minutes of sheer terrorâ⬠(ââ¬Å"Police Culture and behaviorâ⬠).à What is it like to be a police officer? What are the qualifications that this specific government agency requires from their potential recruits? Who can get in and stay as assets not only to the workplace or agency but also to the immediate community which is what police work actually entails? This paper attempts to describe and explain in prà ©cis the personality traits and other pertinent information concerning this important worker of every community. It seeks to answer the preceding questions and attempts to present a profile of what every law enforcement agency hopes to hire from among the applicants or attract from the general public. Discussion ~â⬠Ideal Police personalityâ⬠à à à à In a study, the results reveal that confirms a clear personality profile with police possessing traits as ââ¬Å"authoritarianism, suspicion, racism, hostility, insecurity, conservatism, and cynicismâ⬠(www.cameron.edu). à à à à Despite the common thread that exists among the profiles of police, the demands that society impinges on policing style have started to effect on the qualifications expected to emerge from successful candidates. These days the police ought to display such qualities as ââ¬Å"incorruptible, well-adjusted, people-oriented, free of emotional reactions, and logicalâ⬠(Lefkowitz, n.d.). In addition, literature indicates that an undesirable temperament in policing is introversion with dominance and leadership topping the desirable ones. Women officers are expected to exhibit more assertiveness especially that suspects usually do not respect female cops (Calderon, 2005). Given the culture unique to the workforce, police tasks are not only routinary and yet demand an all-around ability from the person; these are also in most cases stressful. Police suicides have even risen for a variety of reasons. Many are involved in risky assignments while some settle for the more mundane desk job which rarely sees action. The public have mixed perception with the job but many are still drawn to become law enforcementââ¬â¢s recruits. ~Use of false evidences in trials and the police officerââ¬â¢s code of ethics à à à à There is a set of code of ethics for every kind of profession which serves as a guide that the police man adheres to in the course of his year spent in policing. It serves as a standard to the individual whose opportunities for corruption and misconduct are potentially aplenty. Adherence to the code of ethics is required more from those exercising such authority since the kind of work these people do hinges on their moral fiber. In cases involving the false evidences for use in trials, obviously, the fundamental right of the suspect has been infringed upon regardless of the fact that the individual in question has had several records of criminal activities or not (ACLU, 1991). The rationale for most officers engaging with this kind of dirty work is their justifiable reason that for so long the criminal had been followed and is known to do the kind of work he did; that itââ¬â¢s high time the suspect be finally imprisoned. When there are no vital evidences linking the suspect to the criminal activity, police officers are tempted to plant and/or provide evidence. This has been an age-old problem and keeps recurring within the judicial system. à à à à There are dire consequences concerning this specific act of planting false evidences against arrestees. To the police officer, the individual tends to develop or acquire the propensity to increase and grab the opportunities for misconduct or abuses. The lines between evil and good intentions become increasingly blurred for the individual, thus enabling the person/police officer to be less accountable with his misdeeds or actions (ACLU, 1991). à à à à In conclusion, the reforms that had been in place for the police force to lessen or reduce these abuses are somehow adequate but monitoring by citizens, the media and those in governmentà are better restraints to curb any further occurrences of similar cases of misconduct. à à à à To act in an unethical manner such as the acts already becoming natural for police officers to do reduces and eliminates trust. When a police officer is initiated into policing, he begins with the public ââ¬Å"swear inâ⬠which is done by a more superior officer before some number of audience (Kelly, 2003). When this occurs, the solemn ceremony signifies that the public entrusts to the sworn in public servant the duty to choose right over wrong, i.e., an individual cop with all the opportunities before him will not use these instances for his own gain or that of another except for the purposes that he was employed for in the first place. Erosion of trust is not simply a small thing; it is the violation of that basic faith and trust which was expected from the man in uniform. Works cited: Lefkowitz, J. (n.d.). A Critical Evaluation Between Technology And The Human Brain
Artificial Intelligence: A critical evaluation between Technology and the Human brain Humans are continuously trying to develop a technology that will give artificial intelligence to machines (Gupta, 2013). People have been comparing the human brain to different technologies such as computers and smart devices. Recent years have seen an explosion in mobile web use (Entertainment close-up, 2013). Most devices and apps are capable of completing multiple tasks such as; entertainment, communication, navigation, education and health monitoring. In fact, people tend to rely their meetings, alarms, anniversaries, birthdays etc. all on their smart devices. As a result, people are becoming more occupied in their own digital worlds, anywhere and atâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Moravec (1998) conducted a research that found that computers would have the power to mimic a human mind. The mere fact that humans created computers shows the intelligence that the human brain carries (Kurzweil, 2000). It has also mimicked human tasks. A research article from Brynjolfsson McAfee (2012) stated that the Toyota company confirmed 6 Priusââ¬â¢ were made to be automated. However, they also stated that previous studies tried to replicate this but failed in doing so. This comes to show how the human brain is still needed to control these factors. There are some differences between the brain and technologies. The brain uses chemical signals to transmit information whereas the computer uses electricity. Even though electrical signals travel at high speeds in the nervous system, they travel even faster through the wires in a computer. However, computer memory grows by adding computer chips. Memories in the brain grow by stronger synaptic connections. It is much easier and faster for the brain to learn new things. The brain needs nutrients like oxygen and sugar for power; the computer needs electricity to keep working. A computer uses switches that are either on or off. Neurons in the brain are either on or off by either firing an action potential or not firing an action potential. However, neurons are more than just on or off

My Personal Philosophy Of Teaching Essay - 2022 Words
Teaching is a career that takes patience, passion, and desire. Since I was about ten years old, my passion has resided in teaching, specifically special education teaching. When my aunt adopted my twin cousins and found out they were autistic, I never would have expected the hard road she would have to go down in terms of their education. My motivation to teach has always been and always will be my cousins. Without them, I would have never found the desire and love I have for special education children. A quote by Magic Johnson that I feel describes why I want to be a special education teacher perfectly is, ââ¬Å"All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.â⬠Special Ed children, no matter how they must be taught or how much they can comprehend, have the same rights to an education as any other child. My personal beliefs on education stem not only from what my aunt went through, but from personal experience. I feel education has become so tec hnologically based that students feel they no longer need teachers. There are also many teachers that substitute using technology for teaching their students. Toyama (2006) noted that ââ¬Å"supervision from human teachers, parents, and mentors is the only known way of generating motivation for the hours of a school day, to say nothing of eight to twelve school years.â⬠Technology is a resource for teaching, it is not the teacher. Got to Get Myself Connected! Arguably one of the most of import regulations in concern is that it ââ¬Ës non what you know but who you know. Unfortunately upon graduation I am traveling to be one of the many who knows a batch about my specific topics but with small practical experience and really few contacts within the industry. As a consequence something has to be done now in order to seek and derive as large an advantage as possible. In my first twelvemonth I signed up as a pupil member of CIMA, during the past few old ages at that place have been many chances to travel to societal events and web with people yet I have non bothered traveling to them. This twelvemonth may be a good thought to travel and web and at least acquire myself on the radio detection and ranging. The 2nd thing I have done is to put up a LinkedIn history. One other set of contacts that may turn out to be really utile is the enlisting bureaus, peculiarly those who specialise in Finance such as Hayes or Sewell Moorhouse who last twelvemonth managed to acquire 100 % of all university arrangement pupils who came to them into employment. Equally good as assisting me to acquire a occupation if my alumnus applications are unsuccessful they will be able to supply arrows on my CV and covering letters, but more significantly they will be a contact for life. For illustration if 10 old ages down the line I want a wholly different alteration of calling so these people will be here to rede where to travel. Making the Jump ââ¬â Career Management Plan Many of my marks here will be based around my action programs as a consequence of my work placement study.[ 4 ]However my calling way as a consequence of the placement twelvemonth leads me off from the thought of going an comptroller. My first mark was to go on developing my fiscal accomplishments. At the clip of my study this would hold been my accounting accomplishments nevertheless upon contemplation and make up oneââ¬â¢s minding that I no longer desire to be an accountant these accomplishments must be transferred over to other fiscal countries such as the investing country of finance I am interested it. Fortunately my university class gives me the flexibleness to make this as the concluding twelvemonth incorporates both accounting faculties but besides faculties covered by the Banking and Finance pupils which are straight related to the calling way that I now want. Despite the addition in work burden and the sheer trouble of some of the capable affair, I am still hopeful that I will be able to walk off with a 2:1 grade at graduation. My secondary mark was to go on the development of both my personal and professional accomplishments. Unfortunately due to no longer being on arrangement I am non in a place to be developing these accomplishments through a work based environment. However due to the sum of alumnus applications that I am finishing I believe that they at least give me the chance to develop my communicating accomplishments through the completion of online applications, covering letters and telephone interviews. Hopefully I will be able to pattern face to confront communicating accomplishments via interviews if I am lucky plenty to be shortlisted for any of these applications. My concluding mark was to develop a calling program for after university. It was apparent at the clip that Accounting may non hold been the ideal occupation for me hence the alumnus application made to HMRC, unluckily that application was rejected after the on-line numerical and verbal trials. Since so nevertheless I have applied for legion other vacancies all focused around the investing banking country of finance with large companies such as Fidelity but so besides looking at investing reding services such as Oliver Wyman. It was my idea that while I am now certain which country of finance I want to work in, I should nââ¬â¢t be binding myself down with one specialized occupation country. The other idea I had in assisting to develop my calling was to transport on at university in the signifier of station alumnus survey. However I shortly ruled this option out due to the cost but besides that I believe now is the clip to acquire into industry and to get down determining my calling. Further to this by non transporting on in graduate student survey I still have the option to finish all of my professional makings through whichever company I work for and so subsequently on down the line if I think that I would wish to travel back into instruction, the graduate student option is ever available for me. Brand Community Management
Question: Discuss about the Brand Community Management. Answer: Introduction Brand community has the ability to increase the loyalty of the customers who are engaged with the specific product, service or brand. From the starting of 21st century till now, brand communities have been a very famous topic for the researchers in the marketing literature. There are both positive as well as negative impacts of brand community on the buying behavior of the consumers. Positive impact includes increment of the customers loyalty as brand community is considered as the positive path to the brand loyalty. Along with this, it improves oppositional loyalty towards the brand of competitors, influence the behaviors of the customers creates value and impacts on the purchase intension of the customers. On the other hand, there are some negative impact also i.e. Feeling pressure due to the rival of brands and the users, inter-group stereotyping and demeaning rival brand communities etc (Sahay Sharma, 2010). The concept of brand community provides a better understanding of relat ionship between specific brand and the customers. This report describes the review of most important and relevant definitions of the brand communities. Further, the characteristics of the consumer communities are described in the report. Along with this, the way of brand community which impacts the consumers purchasing behavior towards the particular brand is described. At last, report provides some implications for brand management for the future research (Grzeskowiak Sirgy, 2007). Concept of brand community: Literature review Brand communities are considered as the instrument which contributes towards strengthening consumer-brand relationships. According to Muniz and OGuinn (2001), brand community is the specialized and non-geographically bound community which is based on the set of social relationships among the admirers of the particular brand. It is clear that they considered the community to be specialized as it creates the branded products and services. But, the discussion of brand community is not limited to geographically and it means that customers are not compelled to live in the same physical area (Gentile, Spiller Noci, 2007). The concept of brand community is based on the consumers who have developed the attachment towards a specific brand. Another point of view related to brand community has given by Bagozzi and Dholakia (2006). According to them, brand community is basically a group of consumers who share interest for the brand and well-developed social entity. In this, members are engaged jointly in a group to complete the common goals and commitment. In the marketing literature, brand communities are described on the basis of culture of consumption (Mathwick, Malhotra Rigdon, 2001).. Consumers and their community are focused for the particular brand but they can move towards another brand due to strong competition in the market. Recently it was verified that the brand community can be formed around the dominating brand such as Coca-cola and Red Bull. Further, the key concept of operations of brand community is engagement. The engagement of the customers towards specific brands has various reasons. The engagement of the customers depends upon multidimensional set of reasons. According to Hollebeek (2011), customers brand engagement is the level of motivational, brand related and context depended state of mind of consumers having the specific level such as behavioral, cognitive and emotional activity in the brand interaction. So, the consumers engagement towards the brand community depends on the different level of intensity (Fischer, 2011). Hennig-Thurau argued that there are eight factors by which consumers can be motivated to engage within the brand communities and among those factors social benefits are the most important factor. Those factors are expelling negative feelings, self-enhancement, advice seeking, and concern for other consumers, economic benefits, helping the company and platform assistance. Consumers are inspired to join any brand community due to specific benefits and advantages. The consumer engagement towards the specific brand provides them the rise to experience and interact with the members of the community. The deeper level of customers engagement creates, builds and improves the relationship of consumers with the community. Building brand community According to Richardson, OSullivon and Collins (2011), one of the important features of the brand community is that the formation of brand community happens sometimes with any organization or company as the brand community is usually originated by the consumers rather than the company. Based on some studies on the brand community, it is observed that the input of companies by the investment in the brand community can improve the growth of the community. The growth can be obtained by the interaction between the companies and community members and provide them the services and products based on their needs. The formation of brand communities takes various steps and some factors which are necessary for the brand community. According to the researchers, building brand community needs one or few people who are strongly involved in the specific product category and highly committed to the brand. For the formation of brand community, interaction is also important between the customers and t he brand. There are many other researchers who considered that to establish and form the brand community is an ongoing entity in which some conditions must be satisfied i.e. prior membership of sub-culture and willingness to take part in the sub-culture activity etc. having the good understanding of formation of brand community enables the companies tri forecast the information about the particular brand by analyzing the opportunities to interact with the members (Hellier et al, 2003). Brand customer relationship by Brand community Every brand has the specific identity and consumers can connect and share the identity by experiencing the brand. Brands can ultimately provide the identity to the consumers. In this way, the concept of the brand goes beyond the benefits and features and develops the psychological the deeper level of psychological connection with the customers. Relationship marketing has now become the important part of the business in recent years. It focuses on maintaining the relationship with the existing customers rather than attracting new customers for the products and services. By doing this, the aim is to gain the greater proportion of the existing customers who purchase the products. The relationship marketing focuses on the interaction between the sellers and buyers and concerned for the winning the customers by maintaining the link between the customers and the services provided by the company. To build the strong brand provides various financial rewards to the company. In the various mar kets, brands are becoming instilled with the personalities of the customers and they are maintaining and developing relationship with the brand. A study in UK demonstrates that the strong brand loyalty is the habit, intergenerational influence, emotional security and fir with the personality of the consumers (Capece Campisi, 2013). The Brand Ladder: Advancement of brand towards relationship Brands are the first and foremost identifiers in the market. The brand of every person is different. Basically, brands are the assurance of the performance, quality and functional benefits. The customers and individual consumers build the relationship with the brand. So, the brand has become the symbol of personality of the consumers. Brand of the specific product or service is anthropomorphic in nature, personal for the customers and becoming the essential parts of the life of the consumers. If the brand is missing in the market then consumers fell that they are missing something in their lives. Now, brand has established itself as the milestone in the individuals life. Customers always feel connected with the brand of the particular product or service. On the basis of brand attributes or brand personality, consumers are able to develop the strong relationship with the brand (Brogi, 2013). Putting together the perspectives of the consumers and based on the evidence in the research, it is observed that in the brand ladder, customers are connected with the brand and brand relationship for the long-term are developed based on some dimensions: Brand quality- Brand can be considered as the trustworthy and reliable partner who gives sense of being respected and presence of brand in the market. Self-connection- This is dimension by which the brand of the particular product or service focuses in the life of consumers. The past, present and future of the brand depends upon the choice of the customers. It also includes the encouragement to face the diverse circumstances. Intimacy: It represents the strong beliefs about the good performance of the product and the service in the market. It combines the brand relationship memory and experiences by the customers for the particular product or service (Sicilia Palazn, 2008). Commitment: Any relationship in business is based on the commitment. The commitment in the brand depicts the long term of stability and brand relationship of company with the customers. Customers have different attitudes and behaviors towards the different brands. The brand community provides a kind of passion to the customers towards the brand. By the brand community, customers are able to know about the message of a particular brand. Along with this, brand community establishes the long-term commitment for the customers in terms of quality and prices. Brand has become the important part of customers life so, the customer always feel self-connected and concerned about the brand. The customers and users take part in co-creation of brand value and this process includes high mutuality. The evolution and development of relationship depends upon the needs of the customers. On this basis, there are some factors in the brand community which support the long-term relationship with the customers (Casal, Flavin, Guinalu, 2010). Those factors a re as follows: Trust- Trust is the main factor in building long-term relationship and partnership in the business. The perceived trust of consumers can affect the customer satisfaction related to the product or service. Trust impacts the prior experience and satisfaction of the customers. So, trust can be an outcome related to the number of attributes in the purchasing behavior of the customers (Okonkwo, 2007). Satisfaction- This is the overall level of customers delight and experience with the service. Satisfaction can be considered as the consumers fulfillment response. Customers are dependent on the direct experience of the services. Brand loyalty is the result of customer satisfaction and the customer satisfaction provides the basis of ling-term relationship with the particular brand. Customer satisfaction has the direct impact on the brand loyalty having quality (Zaglia, 2013). Conclusion From the above discussion, it is observed that the value and importance of the brand relationship and brand community are increasing. It is most important to develop and maintain the long-term relationship with the customers as brand is becoming most important part of consumers life. A successful brand relationship requires the analysis about the brand such as where the brand is working in the brand ladder. Further, from the discussion in the report, it is analyzed that there is the need to define the nature of the brand to build up the long-term relationship with the customers in the market. Customers like to stay connected with the brand as they develop strong relationship with the particular brand. Consumers are inspired to join any brand community due to specific benefits and advantages. Companies are using relationship marketing as Relationship marketing focuses on maintaining the relationship with the existing customers rather than attracting new customers for the products and services. In the relationship marketing, brand community plays an important role. Customers always feel connected with the brand of the particular product or service.
